Upgrade

Kimberism: If we settle for the lesser we will forfeit the greater. Several years ago I had a dream that a friend and her husband were attending a clinic that helped people rewire their minds so they weren’t affected by allergies. When I woke up from the dream I was excited and knew that God wanted to deal with my plaguing allergies. Fast forward two years later when my family and I were offered a house sitting opportunity for a couple that needed care for their home and dog. The crimp in the opportunity was that I was extremely allergic to dogs. Interestingly I was told an amazing story about the family’s housekeeper and her gift of healing. Apparently on the same day that she had been diagnosed with cancer she returned home to find that her two sons had drowned in the pool. Miraculously she prayed and they came back to life! Later she was also healed of cancer herself. Having been offered this house sitting opportunity I believed I was being offered the opportunity for a divine upgrade. The first day we moved in I immediately asked Anna the housekeeper to pray for me about my allergy to dogs and asthmatic problems. Ever since Anna prayed for me I have had no problem! This experience has challenged new areas of my faith and thinking. What issues are you tiptoeing around, or tolerating in your life that need a faith upgrade? Look at the opportunities around you that need an expansion. Are you in need of a divine intervention in what seems impossible and ready for a faith upgrade? © Copyright 2011 Moxie Me Institute, BE U LLC. Are You Short-Changing the World?

Kimberism: If you don’t show up, you are short-changing the world of a voice that is needed. Recently I learned that Cuba, China, Iraq and Afghanistan have more women in Government than the United States of America and we think we are the land of the free! Imagine how the world is short-changed of voices that are needed when we settle for status quo and don’t truly occupy the space we are intended to fill. Women receive many messages that cause us to question whether our vision is legitimate, or whether we should just be content doing what we’ve always done. Yet, I for one have never been content hanging out in mediocrity. You are uniquely gifted with divine deposits that will go to waste if you do not decide that you are worth investing in yourself and the world. The world needs what you have, but you are the only one who can choose to stand up and deliver. If you are waiting for some mysterious form of permission, let me tell you that you have permission by the mere fact that you are here. This is your time to make an impact on the world. Don’t waste it by putting it off for “someday” because “someday” will be gone before you decide to act and then it will be too late. Invest in yourself, so the world receives the gift you are meant to give it. Its time to stand up, take your place, live into your passion and purpose, so the world can receive your gifts! © Copyright 2011 Moxie Me Institute, BE U LLC. Release Your Pizazz

Kimberism: “Your body knows when you’re doing what you love.” Chris Walker Although I love experiencing the varying hues of color from all kinds of people, have you ever noticed how like-minded people can stir your inspiration and release new pizazz? That’s what I experienced while speaking to a group of women who recently invested in themselves through a day training I led. These women came hungry and ready to rev up their vision, passion, and purpose. They quickly grabbed a hold of the concepts I shared and made teaching invigorating. Its easy to struggle with ones uniqueness when hanging out with birds of a different feather. Clearly waterfowl tend to show up differently than the non swimmer! I quickly learned that my feathers were not suited for the formality of corporate work, but put me in a room of spiritually minded, creative women and my authenticity shines! How often do you take a breather from the masses to indulge in spending time with your tribe? Like a timely massage, or an ocean walk, connecting with your peeps can release new inspiration and pizazz. Take time this week to indulge yourself with a day of mental rejuvenation. Get re-energized and release new pizazz. Hangout with your peeps! © Copyright 2011 Moxie Me Institute, BE U LLC. All Rights Reserved WANT TO USE THIS ARTICLE IN YOUR E-ZINE OR WEB SITE? Pushing Buttons

Kimberism: When your buttons get triggered it is about you not the other person. We all have internal buttons that remain unnoticed until they get triggered. A common response when a button gets triggered is anger and the inclination to strike out, blame or attack. When buttons get triggered rather than choosing to action, we often find ourselves reacting. Do you recognize the tendency to lash out at others, or lash out inwardly when your buttons get triggered? Buttons get pushed when a sensitive area is touched, as if pressure is placed on an old injury. When you feel your pulse beginning to rise its helpful to stop and ask yourself what you are afraid of. Although the emotion you feel may not seems to relate to fear, if you look a deeper you might found that the root is based in fear. Stepping back from the emotion and evaluating the can begin to defuse it. Recently my buttons were pushed and my response was most definitely to lash out and defend myself. However, I began to recognize that the person pushing my buttons was only doing so because her buttons had been pushed. Her fears were causing her to guard her turf, which triggered my own reactions. When I recognized this I was able to take a deep breath, and let go of the offense. It doesn’t mean that the issues are resolved, but it does mean that I will choose how I want to respond rather than reacting. The next time your buttons get triggered try asking yourself, “What fear is being triggered by the circumstance?” and then choosing how you want to act rather than react. Pushing may help to defuse your pushed button. © Copyright 2011 Moxie Me Institute, BE U LLC. All Rights Reserved WANT TO USE THIS ARTICLE IN YOUR E-ZINE OR WEB SITE? Dreaming the Dream

Kimberism: “A man is not old until regrets take the place of dreams.” John Barrymore I love to dream. I’m not merely speaking of dreaming with my heart, but dreaming at night. It’s amazing to me that I can be passively sleeping and receive inspiration through a dream. Last night I had a dream that caused me to awake with excitement. It reminded me that no matter how difficult times may be we must strive to stay connected to our joy. In the dream I saw a teleprompter broadcasting the phrase, “Turn your black and white dreams in for Technicolor.” When times are difficult it is easy to be tempted to shut down, or throw out ones dreams. However, in my dream I was being encouraged to turn up the brightness, not dumb down my dreams. In the 1998 film Pleasantville, life was in black and white until people’s hearts began to be awakened. Suddenly the whole town started coming to life, but not without ample resistance. There will always be circumstances to challenge our dreams. However, during times of difficulty its not time to do away with dreaming, its time to unleash our greatest creativity! What are you doing to stoke the embers of your dreams? How are you keeping the fire of your passion alive? © Copyright 2011 Moxie Me Institute, BE U LLC. All Rights Reserved WANT TO USE THIS ARTICLE IN YOUR E-ZINE OR WEB SITE?
