I used to think restaurants that posted pictures on their walls of their specialty dishes were not my cup of tea and definitively tacky. However, now I realize their effectiveness and intent in making what they are marketing clear.
Every time I drive by a nearby restaurant that highlights photos of its dishes, suddenly I crave Korean BBQ. Even though I might not have planned to eat at this venue, I become aware of what it offers. The next time I decide to partake in Korean BBQ you can bet that nearby restaurant that clearly posts what it offers will come to mind, and may even be my choice.
Imagine if you were that clear about who you are? What if you let people know right off the bat about the transformation you offer?
Getting clear about your “who,” “what,” “how” and “why” in life and business is crucial.
Who are you?
What do you bring the world?
How do you deliver what you bring and why?
Coaching helps you get clear about your “Who” What” “How” and “Why.” As you gain this clarity will notice that you are attracting people that are looking for what you offer. Try writing out your definition to all of the above components. Don’t Leave Your Bags Unattended

Those who travel by air are familiar with the warning that broadcasts throughout airport terminals instructing travelers not to leave their luggage unattended. I, like many of you have been detained and searched on many occasions, because of that reason.
Once I was even caught up in the scare of a gunman within the airport. While officials yelled codes across the security check point, travelers were instructed to freeze. In the end it turned out to be a false alarm leaving a strong impression on me in its wake.
While the airport is clearly intentional about protecting travelers from the dangers of intruders, are you as intentional about your own stowaways in life?
Imagine if you we’re ordered into a freeze zone every time a disguised and unwanted intruder invaded your thoughts, weighing you down with baggage.
What if you were able to scan yourself and identify the toxic and limiting thoughts that were detaining and derailing your life? What if limiting beliefs were actually bits of shrapnel that could be identified and removed?
I wonder how often you and I walk around oblivious to the conscious thoughts jabbing and prodding us. Boy, just think about the amount of unattended baggage!
Do you have limiting beliefs that are weighing you down and keeping you from taking off and arriving where you want to go? Below you will find tips to address those intruders head on. Don’t be weighed down by unwanted travelers.7 Tips for Reducing Baggage 1. Become aware of the thoughts
that are tripping you up. We all have them. They are usually cloaked in garments of fear, sometimes so well camouflaged that we don’t recognize them.
When you feel that jab in your gut that says, “You shouldn’t do that,” or “Don’t risk it” you can identify an intruder. All “shoulds” are attached to limiting beliefs that rob you of your power to choose. 2. Evaluate how that thought makes you feel.
Does it make you feel afraid, powerless… angry? Once you identify the feeling…3. Identify what action the feeling produces.
Does it keep you paralyzed? Does it make you reluctant to take action?4. Then ask yourself if the nagging thought is true? Do like the way it makes you feel? Are you happy with the result the action, or lack of action produces?
5. This is where you get to take ownership and decide if what you believe is working for you, or limiting you.
It may be that what you’ve believed is based on old information you collected about yourself from influences around you. You get to decide what would better serve your life. You get to choose what you would like to believe in place of the limiting belief. You can choose to live at the cause of your life, and not powerlessly at the effect.6. Now evaluate how your new belief makes you feel. 7. Decide what action you will take with this new belief to move forward toward where you desire to go in life.

Winning Attributes of the Successful

Many people say they want something different in their life, but when the rubber meets the road aren’t willing to pay the price.
Jeff Olson, author of, The Slight Edge, points out that only 5% of people experience success within their life time. Doesn’t that statistic make you wonder about the other 95%?
Olson informs us that while implementing simple principals and hard work will reap success, he makes it clear that it’s just as easy not to do the work!
I believe success can be broken down into two basis factors:1. Teach-ability2. Willingness to invest in the work
Not long ago some one contacted me about coaching. I was initially impressed by the intention to seek me out even though the finances weren’t in place to hire me, so we agreed on a mutual exchange of services.
The problem was that the mere idea was more appealing than the follow through of our arrangement. On the one day of services my whole family sensed the air of resentment. Even though we had arranged for this barter, the person’s demeanor exposed discontentment.
After leaving with a huff the person canceled the follow up coaching session and I never head from that individual again. Probably many service provider have a story like this to tell, because with the 95% the investment will always too high.
Many people talk about the change they desire, but few will make the investment. That is why payment for the services we desire is an important component, unless one is sure to count the cost and make the investment of agreed upon work definitive.
There will always be an investment for those who want to steward their lives and reap a return. There will be an investment of time; effort; finances; and most importantly an investment to retrain limiting thinking to move out of a scarcity mindset. Nothing provides clearer evidence of scarcity than words that spout intention, while action concedes.
Clearly, what got you to where you are presently won’t be all you need to get to the place of advancement that you desire. Advancement always requires expansion on some level.
When you think you want to take new ground in your life, or business, its important to weigh the cost. Make sure you have winning attributes on board to succeed. Then there will be no limit to what you can accomplish. Wining Attributes for Success
• High Motivation
• Willingness to invest through: effort, finances, growing knowledge, skill and expansion of thinking
Life, like coaching is a process, a marathon, and not a sprint. So here’s to all the savvy women out there making the investment in their life and future, as long distance runners reaching their mark. Rock on!

What is Wafting From Your Life?

“When you dream about your life what do you imagine? How do you see yourself?” Those were the two questions I asked a client recently, before I invited her to close her eyes and take a walk into her future.
During the process she discovered some new things about her desire that she wasn’t cognoscente of previously. She like many women was notorious for living day to day; emergency to emergency; taking care of the needs of all those around her; yet lacking intention about her own vision. This exercise began the process of fleshing out the future she desired and wanted to create.
Most of us grow up with messages about being responsible and making a good living. Few are encouraged to be delight-led, or to seek out extravagant bliss. Yet, delight and bliss are factors that tell us a lot about ourselves and the way we were uniquely wired and gifted.
While most of us would acknowledge the virtue of being a responsible adult, responsibility is the result, not the method for creating a passionate future. Responsibility is something one can put on and take off like a hat, while passion is ignited uniquely from within each of us.
Certainly those that are passionate about their work are more likely to excel than those merely driven by duty and responsibility. I for one am not such a happy camper when I stray from my uniquely given gusto and delight, and get caught up in dutybound obligation.
Think about school teachers who demonstrate their abhorrence of teaching, while passion-led teachers have potential to impact students from sheer love of their craft. A person who has connected to their innate passion is rather like a billboard advertising savory life!
What does your life demonstrate? Do you abhor what you do, or does passion resonate from your life in such a way that it can’t help but impacts others? Evaluate if you are delight-led, or duty driven. Which aroma would you rather have wafting from your life?
If you are sucking it up and bemoaning a life without delight, try defining one positive thing that you can implement in work, or your activities that will connect you to your uniquely gifted delight?Moxie Me Institute empowers heart-led entrepreneurial women and entrepreneur wannabes to bring their greatness, purpose and passion to the world, through live workshops, personal coaching, online programs, powerful resources, tools, and education.
